This two-building mid-rise rental project is situated at the gateway to Hawaii Kai, a highly desirable residential community. The two buildings each consist of 10 stories, one with ten levels of residential units and the other with four levels of residential over six levels of parking. Of the 269 total units, 50 are reserved for 80% of the area median income and below. To offer affordable rental units in a desirable area, 7000 Hawaii Kai uses tunnel form cellular concrete construction and prefabrication technology. The repetitive nature of the on site casting speeds up the construction process, which is cost-effective. The innovative prefabricated modules for kitchen and baths feature luxury finishes like quartz countertops, solid wood cabinetry, and high-end fixtures. The complex boasts such amenities as a meeting room, club room, movie room, music room, recreation deck, pool, barbecue area, volleyball court, and lawn.
